Emergency services respond to high angle rescue
TWO people in their 70s were transported to hospital last week after their car crashed down a four-metre embankment.

Victoria Police, State Emergency Services (SES), Country Fire Authority (CFA) and Ambulance Victoria units responded to a high angle rescue at the intersection of Timboon-Colac Road and Cobden-Port Campbell Road at around 2.30pm last Thursday.
A CFA spokesperson said three units in addition to a Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) appliance responded to the scene with a specialist crew.
“Crews discovered a vehicle was stuck down a four-metre ditch and two people required a high angle rescue,” the spokesperson said.
“Victoria Police, SES and Ambulance Victoria were on scene.
“Incident was deemed under control at 3.47pm and safe at 4.25pm.”
“Occupants were airlifted to the hospital.”
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said two people aged in their 70s were transported to hospital.
“Paramedics were called to a collision in Scotts Creek around 2.30pm on February 6,” the spokesperson said.
“A woman in her 70s with upper body injuries is being airlifted to St John of God Geelong Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
“A man in his 70s with upper body injuries was transported by road ambulance to South West Healthcare Warrnambool in a serious but stable condition.”
Victoria Police were contacted for comment but did not respond prior to publication.
