Engines roar for Motorcycle Trialla
MOTORCYCLE enthusiasts gathered in Leslie Manor over the weekend for the Camperdown and District Motorcycle Club’s annual Trialla event.

Around 170 bike enthusiasts from across the district and further afield gathered to enjoy a weekend of motorcycle fellowship and conversation.
Club president Brett ‘Risky’ Murdie said the wet weather did not dampen the spirits, with many bike enthusiasts coming together to share their passion with like-minded people.
“The highlight was catching up with people you don’t normally see outside rallies and talking motorcycles with them,” he said.
“It’s also good to see people you haven’t spoken to for a while and see their new bikes or what they’ve done with their old bikes since you last saw them.
“We had live music during the afternoon, and the band who played at night was quite good.
“We did a banner which everyone signed as they came in the gate and we auctioned it off at the end of the night for charity.”
The banner sold for $6200, which was seen as a good result by the motorcycle club.
Mr Murdie said there were over 100 motorcycles on display at the trialla.
Those who stayed overnight last Friday treated visitors to a scenic tour of the Camperdown district on Saturday morning.
“There were people from all walks of life, so it was good to talk to people,” Mr Murdie said.
“It was good fun – you do talk motorcycles, but you also talk to people you wouldn’t otherwise meet which is a good thing.
“Some people came in cars and brought things out – a lot of members also brought things out to the event.
“It was mostly talking about motorcycles and catching up with old friends.”
