CAMPERDOWN College played host to an international guest last week with the arrival of an exchange teacher from the college’s sister-school in West Java, Indonesia, SMP2 Leuwisadeng.
Arriving earlier in the week, Dinny Kusumaningsih joined in with Indonesian classes at both the senior and junior campuses and is enjoying seeing how things are done in Australian classrooms.
Visiting Australia as part of the Building Relationships through Intercultural Dialogue and Growing Engagement (BRIDGE) program, Dinny is travelling with a group of teachers who are placed between Camperdown College, Warrnambool College and Monivae College in Hamilton.
Senior campus Indonesian teacher Mr Brett Ambrose said Dinny was enjoying her visit to Camperdown and exploringthe region.
“During her time at Camperdown College, Dinny has been observing Indonesian, English, Food Tech and Business classes. Dinny teaches English at her school in Indonesia, to Year 7 and 9 students,”he said.
“While it was a quick trip to the region, Dinny has fitted in a sightseeing trip around the Great Ocean Road, and particularly enjoyed London Bridge. After visiting Victoria, she will spend some more time with the Indonesian teachers in Sydney.”
