Exhibition celebrating diversity
THE idea of diversity and how it appears throughout life and in nature will be explored at this month’s exhibition at the Camperdown Courthouse.

Pam Smith’s exhibition will showcase the various choices people can make in careers, as well as how nature fosters differences through acrylic on canvas.
She said she was hoping residents are able to gain a connection to nature and life.
“When I started painting for this exhibition, I realised how much diversity there is in life and nature,” she said.
“As an individual we could choose to become a singer, an actor, train driver or even a clown.
“In nature we find our feathered friends bring us delight in the variety of colours they are adorned with, or we find pleasure in the antics and cuteness of a puppy.
“When I put paint to canvas it occurs to me life is so interesting because we are surrounded by the wonder of it.
“I hope you find something of interest here that you can relate to and that it brings you a measure of pleasure in viewing it.”
Ms Smith said she was thrilled to be among the artists within the community to exhibit at the Courthouse, located at 179 Manifold Street.
“The Courthouse is a wonderful venue,” she said.
“It’s well set up for exhibitions.
“I’m very grateful for the council making it available to us, and the volunteers who come and keep the place open so people like me can put our work on display.”
The Camperdown Courthouse is open 10am-3pm, with the exhibition on display until the end of February.
