Family fun at mini golf
THE popular Cobden Rotary mini golf was open last Thursday for a day of school holiday activities, including Lego thanks to the South West Bricks Club.

Cobden resident Jess Brown attended with her children and said it was great to get out and about for the day.
“We don’t always get time to come to these sorts of days because of work but we thought it would be fun for the kids to do today,” she said.
“They like Lego and mini golf and all stuff like that.
“The kids get to have a bit of fun and the Bricks Club gets to show off what they’ve got so they can get a few more members.
“Small volunteer groups like Rotary give back to the town a lot and not many places would have something like this running today.
“It’s a great activity that’s budget-friendly too.”
The mini golf is usually open on the third Sunday of every month as well as every Sunday of the school holidays, but sometimes opens additional days when volunteers are available.
Cobden Rotary member Gary Kimber said their next open day would be an absolute blast for the whole family.
“Our next mini golf day is Sunday February, 15,” he said.
“The mini golf will be available for all ages and there’s always lots of prizes and lots of fun.
“We will be selling refreshments – if it’s cool we can have hot refreshments and if it’s warm we’ll have cold refreshments.
“It’s a good family day – and of course they can go over to the trains and jump on the trains as that will be open as well.
“Further up is the dairy theme park which is open and the Historical Society so it’s a four-by family day if they want to come along.”
