COURTHOUSE Camperdown will be showcasing the artworks of 20-year-old dairy farmer and artist Caitlin Martin for the month of July.
Ms Martin lives on a farm north of Camperdown, and studies agriculture.
Her artworks consist of landscapes, as well as various paintings of dairy cows from the farm.
Ms Martin said she usually finds or takes pictures she likes before deciding to paint them.
“I just go through the process of painting them; there’s no specific backstory behind them, it’s just things I find pretty that I want to show off on a canvas,” she said.
“We moved out to a dairy farm three years ago, and I’ve only just started painting all the dairy cows.
“It’s fun because you get all the little personalities of the cows.”
Ms Martin said she had previously done an exhibition at the Courthouse two to three years ago and found out through social media the exhibitions are still going.
“Seeing that, it was like I really wanted to display some artwork and get it out there that this is something I do,” she said.
“It’s really good to see the Courthouse pushing that art side of things.”
