Fifth consecutive shield for Glenfyne

FOR the fifth consecutive year, Glenfyne Gold has taken out Cobden Technical School’s athletics shield.

Last Tuesday’s warm autumn day provided the ideal setting for a day of competition.

With lots of families cheering on students, the Cobden Recreation Reserve was awash with colour and excitement.

Well done to all students who braved the heat to give their best.

Congratulations to all age group champions:

Under 13 – Olivia B (Tandarook Red) and Ryan B (Glenfyne Gold).

Under 14 – Stephanie S (Senfield Blue) and Harry R (Glenfyne Gold).

Under 15 – Charli R (Senfield) and Rhys Sargood/Xander Weel (Glenfyne).

Under 16 – Tayliah B (Shenfield) and Riley B (Shenfield).

Under 17 – Zoe B (Tandarook) and Zac S (Glenfyne).

Under 18-20 – Tabitha P (Tandarook) and Bradley F (Glenfyne).

Congratulations to Glenfyne Gold for taking out the 2025 shield with 685.50 points.

The shield was accepted by house captains, Adam Jopling and Felix Nguena Nguena.

Second place went to Tandarook Red on 590.13, followed by Shenfield Blue 557.38.

Many thanks to staff, parents and students who facilitated the events, helped at the barbecue, ran score sheets and helped make the day a success.
