FILM buffs will be in seventh heaven with the Corangamite Film Festival on again.

The Corangamite Film Society are offering six films over six days this year, with screenings in Terang, Darlington, Camperdown, Cobden and Port Campbell.

The Corangamite Film Society president Chris Warren was looking forward to the festival.

“It is great that film lovers in Terang have joined the Corangamite Film Festival. They will screen the first film on Tuesday August 1, at the Commercial Hotel,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to attending that one as it’s the opening event and a locally made film from Terang.

“Each venue and community of volunteers has its own character and style.”

Mr Warren said the festival presents a “great diversity of films”.

“There is sure to be something to choose for everyone, and those following the festival at multiple screenings will have a fascinating film-going experience,” he said.

The line-up includes a film produced within the Corangamite Shire, and others from around the world; current films released this year, and a classic 1928 black and white silent film presented with live musical accompaniment; and the not-to-be-missed St Kilda Film Festival Short Films annual collection.
