Final day for Aus’ Day noms
TODAY is the final day for residents to nominate their inspirational community members for the 2025 Australia Day awards.
Nominations for the Corangamite Shire’s Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year awards will close today (November 6).
Shire chief executive officer David Rae encouraged community members to nominate their fellow residents and groups to say thank you for their contributions during the past year or over a longer period.
“We are very fortunate to have many passionate, community-minded people in Corangamite,” he said.
“They give their time to improve the lives in their local and wider communities.
“These awards are an opportunity to formally acknowledge their contribution to making our shire a great place to live.”
The awards will be presented as part of the shire’s Australia Day activities in Camperdown on Sunday, January 26 2025.
Nomination forms and guidelines are available at corangamite.vic.gov.au/AustraliaDayAwards, from the Civic Centre, or by calling council on 5593 7100.
