Bookaar currently leads the division one ladder, with 11 wins and just the one loss under their belts, while Pomborneit sits second.

Heytesbury Storm and Cobden Knights round out the top four, with Boorcan six points behind in fifth, followed by Camperdown, Ecklin and bottom-side Woorndoo.

In round 13 matches last weekend, the Lakers were defeated by the Knights, Storm took the points over Boorcan and Bookaar defeated Ecklin in a high-scoring affair which saw both teams past the 200 run mark – including an unbeaten knock of 111 from Pelicans’ captain Lachlan Green.

Green’s innings included 13 boundaries and one six, with his century coming from only 104 deliveries.

He was well supported on the scoreboard by team-mates Simon Baker (64) and a half century from Albie Cheeseman.

Ecklin’s Harry Carter fell just 10 runs short of a century, bowled by Fraser Lucas for 90.

Captain Tyson Royal was also strong at the crease, contributing 60 from 107 deliveries (including six boundaries).

Saturday’s final home and away round will see Storm host Ecklin, Boorcan at home to Pomborneit, Woorndoo will travel to Cobden to face the Knights and the Lakers will host Bookaar.
