Final round of club championships

THE final round of club championships was played at the Mortlake Golf Club last Saturday.

Clint Baker was the club champion with a four-round total of 332, followed by Jack Lehmann with a four-round total of 333.

Richard van Diemen finished on 363 to win B grade from joint runners-up Les Dawson and Dougal Ranken on 366.

The final Bates IGA Liquor handicap was won by Steve Hubbard, who defeated Kevin Etherton 1up.

The day’s results from Saturday:

Scott Richie won with 15-83-68 from Kurt Robertson 8-78-70.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 and 6/15 Kurt Robertson, 9/18 Scott Richie.

Balls down the line went to Jack Lehmann, Peter Palmer, Clint Baker, Dougal Ranken and Bruce Twaddle.

NAGA was Ben Boers.

Next week’s event will be stableford, AFL grand final (am) start optional.
