Final round of home and away
THE final round of the home and away pennant season for Heytesbury Indoor Bias Bowls has been played.
In division one, Timboon Lawn was home to Camperdown 2 and got off to an amazing start and continued their momentum to take the win, 28-17.
Cobden 1 hosted Laang-Ecklin and by end five the teams were level at six all.
Cobden 1 took the lead on the following two ends and despite a last-ditch effort from the visitors, picking up four shots on ends 12 through 17, Cobden 1 also picked up three shots to take the lead heading into the last.
The final scores saw the hosts go down to the visitors, 17-18.
Mepunga 1 travelled to Timboon Lawn 2 and both teams were five all after as many ends.
Timboon Lawn 2 then picked up nine shots on ends six through 10 but Mepunga wasn’t done, picking up six shots on the next two ends to reduce the margin to three.
The scores were square with two ends to play; Timboon Lawn 2 took the win, 23-20.
Rounding out division one, Glenormiston 1 celebrated a home win, defeating Camperdown 1, 24-9.
The top four for the 2025 division one home and away season were Glenormiston 1 (52 points), Timboon Lawn 2 (36 points), Timboon Lawn 1 (34 points) and Mepunga 1 (32 points).
In division two, Mepunga 2 defeated Timboon Lawn 3, 16-10 while Glenormiston 3 lost to Mepunga 3, 14-19 and Scotts Creek defeated Simpson, 19-16.
The top four in division two after the home and away rounds are: Mepunga 3 (50 points), Mepunga 2 (48 points), Simpson 1 (32 points +0.4 per cent) and Cobden 2 (32 points).
Division three saw Mepunga 4 defeat Peterborough 18-13 and Scotts Creek 2 lost to Cobden 3, 11-17.

Semi-finals will be played at the Simpson Hall, with the roll-up starting at 7.45pm and the match at 8pm.
Players are welcome to take along a plate for supper if they wish, tea/coffee and biscuits will be supplied ($7 for players, payable to skips) and $2 entry for spectators.
In division one, the first semi-final will be played between Timboon Lawn 1 and Mepunga 1, and the second semi will see Glenormiston 1 take on Timboon Lawn 2.
In division two, the first semi-final will see Simpson 1 take on Cobden 2, and the second semi will be the battle of the Mepungas, 3 v 2.
In division three, Scotts Creek 2 will play Peterborough in the first semi-final and Mepunga 4 will play Cobden 3 in the second semi-final.
