Final round of summer cup
TWENTY-NINE players enjoyed the final round of the summer cup and monthly medal at Cobden Golf last weekend.
Last Saturday’s event saw C. Elsum finish on nett 69 to win A grade ahead of J. Beard nett 72.
B grade was won by A. Jopling on 68, from S. Mahony on 69.
Nearest the pins: 4th J. Beard, 7th D. Beard, 10th C. Sargeant, closest second on the 2nd T. Gardner and closest on the 14th C. Sargeant.
The monthly medal went to A. Jopling on nett 68 while C. Elsum took out the putting with 24 putts.
Balls down the line: W. Gibson, C. Sargeant, D. Beard, C. Horan, S. Dawson and M. Katsaros.
The summer cup was won by C. Sargeant on 217, followed by D. Absalom 225 and M. Drayton 226.
This Saturday will be privilege pot (stableford), with a 10.30am arrival for 11am shotgun start.
Twenty-two ladies competed I the Joan Jacka Pairs qualifying round last Wednesday. February 26.
The winners were Kate Parlour and Judy Myers on 57 nett, with Ellen Darcy and Pat Tickner runners-up on 60.

Camperdown Pre-Mix 7th Kate Parlour, nearest shot on the 8th - Sherine Healey (A grade), Pat Tickner (B grade) and Ev Boyd (C grade).
Balls down the line went to Janine Stevens and Thelma Green on 62 nett.
