Finlayson wins at Timboon

BILL Finlayson finished on 42 points to take out the A grade competition at Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.

The stableford round saw some good scores recorded.

Phillip Brown was runner-up on 40 points, with Peter Cashmore third on 38.

B grade was won by Rhys Ziegelaar on 38 points from Percy Gillin on 32 and Mick Smith on 31.

Nearest the pins: 5th Tori Ziegelaar, 7th Rhys Ziegelaar, 10th Jack Rowe and 14th Bill Finlayson.

John Bertram won a ball for his second shot to the 11th.

Thursday’s Railway View chicken day was won by Gavin Rundle with 27 points from Mick Plozza on 26.

Nearest the pin was Bill Finlayson.

Next Saturday will be stalbeford.

Round one of the club championship will be played on Saturday, November 15.
