Finny wins again
FOR the second consecutive year, Camperdown Cycling Club junior rider, Finny, has taken out the Harold Lamb Trophy.

The trophy recognises the dedication shown to the club’s junior riders many years ago by Harold Lamb.
Race 21 of the current season was contested last week under the watchful eye of Harold’s daughter Joy.
Ten keen riders made their way to the start line with a south-westerly breeze.
First over the line was Finny in a time of 14.15, followed by Eleanor in second (after leading the race until the final few metres) in a personal best of 17.46.
Third place went to scratch man Josh who recorded the fastest time on the night with the time of 9.16.
Other times included Taj 11.29, Henry 12.04, Nathaniel 9.56, Lawson 12.13, Bentley 10.30, Archie 15.06 and Quinn 10.41.
In the senior race number 21, seven cyclists took advantage of a steady south-west breeze last Thursday night.
Starting at the Camperdown saleyards, the starter released the riders with handicaps of 4.30 (Matt Clark), 3.30 (Quinn Clark and Matt Gstrein), 3.00 (Finn Baxter), 2.30 (Josh Thompson), 1.30 (Oliver Clark) and Shaun Thompson (scratch).
Not aware of the price of fuel, Finn opened the throttle to catch Matt and Quinn not long after the first bend.
The three worked together until caught by Josh at the Chocolyn ‘bridge.’
With four riders working together, and Josh setting the pace, they proved a challenge to the two backmen doing their individual time trials.
The bunch added Matt C to their collection at the racecourse while the backmarkers came together at Pasques; too late to effectively work together and close the gap.
Quinn lit the fuse, attacking just before Pasques corner, softening the bunch for a second attack from Matt Clark.
It was Josh who timed his kick and crossed the line first in 27 minutes 13 seconds followed by Matt G 28.20, Matt C 29.21, Quinn 28.25, Finn 27.55, Shaun 25.29 and Oliver in 27 minutes.
