Fire engulfs vehicle
CREWS from across the district raced to the scene of a vehicle fire in Mortlake over the weekend.
Under control: A rapid response from Country Fire Authority crews brought a vehicle fire under control in Mortlake over the weekend.
A Country Fire Authority (CFA) spokesperson did not reveal the cause of the fire, but confirmed a vehicle fire inside a shed had caused damage.
“The CFA was called to a ute on fire threatening a shed on Waters Lane at Mortlake at 1.34pm on Sunday, March 15,” the spokesperson said.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
“Firefighters found the vehicle on fire inside a shed.

“The fire was brought under control at 2.25pm and declared safe just before 3pm.
“CFA had seven trucks on scene supported by a Fire Rescue Victoria crew.”
A large response of Country Fire Authority volunteers raced to the Waters Lane property.
