Port Campbell visitors and locals were treated to a special sight on Monday as the Republic of Korea Air Force ‘Black Eagles’ and RAAF Roulettes conducted a friendship flight.

The Black Eagles and The Roulettes completed a friendship flight around the Great Ocean Road and Melbourne CBD on Monday.

The aviation teams shared the skies over Victoria ahead of the Australian International Airshow public show later in the week.

The teams conducted low level flying in formation from Avalon to Portarlington, travelling westbound along the Bass Coast continuing to Port Campbell where they turned around, flew to Port Phillip Heads and finally flew over Melbourne CBD before returning to Avalon.

The formation flight included up to six Pilatus PC-21 aircraft from Air Force’s Central Flying School, located at RAAF Base East Sale and up to nine T-50B aircraft from the Republic of Korea Air Force.
