Frightful festivities planned
COBDEN will soon fill with the spooky spirit as the town embraces its annual Halloween Trail this Friday.

Children and the young at heart are encouraged to dress up in their spookiest costumes and explore the various Halloween displays across the town.
1st Cobden Scouts adult supporter Mandy Reid said the free event will feature 16 stops this year.
“We have the Cobden Scout Hall as a walk-through experience, and the Cobden Pioneer Park are also doing a walk-through experience in one of their sheds,” she said.
“Kids can register online for their free tickets, and they can just come through between 4.30-7.30pm and wander around to as many stops as they like.
“It’s a great promotion for the Scouts – we’re always looking for new members and leaders.
“This year we’ve got a barbecue up at the Scout Hall.
“We’ve got a couple of our members planning to head to Poland for the World Jamboree in 2027 – hopefully we’ll be able to fundraise some money to help send them over there.”
Tickets can be booked online at www.eventbrite.com/e/cobden-scouts-halloween-trail-tickets to allow for adequate stocking of tricks and treats.
