Fuel thefts frustrate in Cobden

A PERSON has been charged after a series of alleged instances of vehicle tampering’s were reported in Cobden earlier this month.

Cobden Police sergeant Craig Jenkins said an alleged offender was charged in Camperdown on Monday, June 3.

“I believe that there was a number of residents that had their vehicles tampered with,” he said.

“An individual was arrested, charged and bailed to appear before the court at a later date.”

Sgt Jenkins if residents saw anything suspicious to contact police or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers Victoria on 1800 333 000.

He said the best theft prevention tools was to utilise CCTV as well as keeping in touch with neighbours.
