Fun, games and a cuppa for event

CAMPERDOWN locals will be able to enjoy a cuppa for a good cause next week.

CAMPERDOWN locals will be able to enjoy a cuppa for a good cause next week.

A Biggest Morning Tea event will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at Revamp between 2pmto 5pm.

Michelle Elijah from Benallack’s Sport said the Camperdown Business Network are hosting the event.

She said organisers are looking forward to it.

“We’re asking people to bring their own tea pot or cup,” Ms Elijah said.

“There will be games, raffles, food and fun."

“We’re doing things a little bit differently and having a Biggest Morning Tea in the afternoon.”

Attendees can look forward to a spread of afternoon tea and enjoy some games while catching up with friends.

Local businesses are able to order a plate of food for those unable to attend by contacting Michelle Elijah on 0488 605 554.

Residents wishing to donate but are unable to attend can make a donation on the Camperdown Business Network 3260 Facebook Page.

“Alternatively many businesses in town have a donation jar on their counters for you to pop in, say hello, shop locally and support an amazing cause,” Ms Elijah said.

“Participating shops include Benallack Sports, Revamp Hair & Beauty, Sweet Giftz, Camperdown Newsagency, Camperdown Betta Home Living, Showcase Jewellers, Vintage Gnotuk, Full Bloom"

Florist, HERE home style design, Camperdown Pharmacy, Little Pharmacy and shoe shop, Camperdown Nursery and Mart, Red Robin Café and Camperdown Bakery Wellnest.”

A number of prizes have been donated for the day which includes a painting by Gwen Benallack, with tickets $5 each.

Attendees will have a chance to win a special teapot donated from Showcase Jewellers by winning a closest throw to the teapot competition – entry is $1 a go.

There will also be a lucky door prize onthe day.
