Funding boost for Alderwood
COBDEN’S Alderwood Manor was allocated a $2000 grant under the Corangamite Shire’s Business Assistance Scheme (BAS).
Shire manager economy and prosperity Katy McMahon said as part of Grow and Prosper Corangamite, council has consolidated its approach to economic and community development, inclusive of arts, culture, tourism and the circular economy.
She said the Grow and Prosper Framework outlines new programs including the BAS.
“The BAS enables council to support local businesses, big or small, community enterprises, creative industries and new businesses looking to establish in the municipality,” Ms McMahon said.
A grant of $2000 was allocated to Alderwood Manor for a new activation for the venue which builds on the success of the free musical jams at the venue.
Ms McMahon said the new BAS scheme was an ongoing grant and business support scheme open for applications year-round.
