Gary brings wealth of experience
LOCAL resident Gary Castledine has begun as the new Timboon and District Healthcare Service (TDHS) chief executive officer.

LOCAL resident Gary Castledine has begun as the new Timboon and District Healthcare Service (TDHS) chief executive officer.
He started the role on Monday, February 6 and said he was enjoying it so far.
“It’s great – the people have been really welcoming,” Mr Castledine said.
“I’ve been impressed so far.
“It’s fairly overwhelming with the amount of information to take in.”
Mr Castedine comes to role with a wealth of experience as a health professional, having worked with Ambulance Victoria as a paramedic and in management and leadership roles for over 20 years, much of that time spent in the Barwon South West region.
In addition to his experience in the health industry, he has completed extensive studies and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Ambulance Paramedic Studies, and a Masters of Ethics and Legal Studies.
Mr Castledine said he was looking forward to the future of the health service.
“We’re at the beginning of a strategic planning process, that’s exciting,” he said.
“COVID threw up some challenges and the new plan gives us the chance to tackle those.
“I think the goal will be to make changes that keeps us relevant to what the community needs.”
Mr Castledine lives locally with his family and is an active member of the local community including involvement with the Timboon Demons Football Netball Club.
