Generations unite with fashion
THE Timboon community came together on the red carpet as part of 2025 Volunteer Week celebrations.

Corangamite Shire Council’s Youth and Positive Ageing and Inclusion teams supported the community to deliver the Timboon Fashion Show called What’s Hot in the Op Shop last Thursday.
The event brought together the young and old to highlight the great work of the Timboon Opportunity Shop (TOPS).
Models from Timboon P-12 students walked the red carpet alongside senior models, many of whom were volunteers from TOPS, including Hazel, a TOPS volunteer who turns 91 this week.
With a variety of TOPS clothing displayed showcasing the breadth of what can be found in the op shop, everyone involved had a lot of fun.
Cobden Health and Timboon Health senior residents attended the show along with several locals who made up an audience of approximately 60 guests.
TOPS coordinator Brenda Parfett said the event was a “delight” and she was very impressed by the students from Timboon P-12.
“The students came to the op shop a few days earlier to get their outfits and their accessories and whatever they needed,” she said.
“They were just so pleasant and very professional, they held themselves well, and I think the school should be very proud of them and the teachers as well.
“They were delightful young people.
“There was lunch afterwards and everyone said the lunch was beautiful, there were sandwiches and scones.”
The audience and models stayed on to enjoy refreshments provided by the Timboon P-12 VET Hospitality students.
