WHILE finals may be off the cards for season 2023, Terang cricketers remain up-beat both on and off the field.

With both its sides out of the finals race in divisions one and three, the Goats are now focused on the possibility of an upset-win before the home and away season ends.

Division one will face top side Heytesbury Rebels this weekend before taking on third-placed Bookaar in the final round on March 4.

This weekend will be the final round for division three sides, with Terang to face second-placed Simpson.

Last Saturday was another tough one for the Goats, going down to Cobden by 91 runs – 9/57 to 148.

Best of the bowlers were Kavanagh with 3/20 off six and Tyson Royal 3/32 off seven.

Division three also faced Cobden and was unable to take the points, ending the day three wickets short of victory – 158 to Cobden’s 7/163.

Best of the batsmen were Hugh Giblin 36, Tom Ryan 28 and John Meade 28 while best bowling figures came from Dean Walther 4/20 off four and Tyler Smith 2/51 off seven.
