Good numbers on the greens

A STRONG field of 45 players competed in a stableford competition at the Terang Golf Club last Saturday.


A grade was won by Tyler Beasley on 41 points, followed by Martin Wynd on 38.

B grade went to Henry Roberts on 41, with Geoff Nuske runner-up on 35.

Balls down the line: George Easley 37, Anthony Mills 36, Mick Scanlon 35, Michelle Beasley 35, Alex Kenna 34 and Ethan Wyss 34.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Caleb Kavanagh, 6th Jake Lee, 8th Martin Wynd and 11th Mick O’Connor.

Friday twilight golf stableford (nine holes) went to Alex Kenna on 20 points followed by Tyler Beasley on 19.

Sunday’s 18-hole stableford was won by Alex Kenna on 39 points from Luke Tebble on 38.

Next week will be Friday twilight from 2.30pm onwards (back nine holes), Saturday all day stableford and Sunday 18-hole stableford from 10.30am onwards.

The women’s 9.30-10.30am stroke competition was won by Karen Mather 101-30-71 on a countback from runner-up Jo Arundell 97-25-71 and Lynette Coxon 114-42-71.

Balls down the line went to Lynette Coxon with 71 points.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Margie Driscoll and 18th from off the green Karen Mather.

The putting was won by Karen Mather and Judy Carmody with 31 putts.

Eighteen players competed in the all day 18-hole stableford competition.

The winner was Fred Beasley in a close match with 41 points, on a countback from David Stewart also on 41.

Balls down the line went to Terry Coolahan 40, George Beasley 39 and Ethan Wyss 38.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Ryley Hutchins and 6th Colin Venn.

Winner of the all day nine-hole competition was Wendy O’Connor on 19 points.

This week will be an 18 hole and 9 hole all day stableford competition and also women’s from 9.30am-10.30am.
