Good results on the greens

WHILE inclement weather prevented any play last Wednesday, there were some good results recorded over the previous two weeks at Cobden Golf Club.

A stableford event on August 20 attracted a strong field.

The winner on the day was Jo Hintum, 31 points, on countback from runner-up Pat Tickner on 31.

Nearest the pins: 4th A grade Carmel Darcy, B grade Marie Smith, C grade Jo Hintum; 7th Pat Tickner, 10th A grade Di Adams, B grade Marie Smith, C grade Kate Parlour; second shot on the 8th Di Adams.

Balls down the line: Carmel Darcy with 28 points.

The week prior, August 13, the stableford competition was won by Sherine Healey on 31 points on countback from Dave Stewart, also on 31.

Nearest the pins: 4th and 7th Sherine Healey, 10th Pat Tickner, second shot on the 8th and balls down the line Ulbe Twynstra 28.
