Good scores at Cobden Golf
FIFTEEN players competed in round two of the Barrett Shield (stableford) at the Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
A grade went to N. Mounsey on 34 points, on countback from A. Rosolin 34 and S. Dawson 34.
Balls down the line: S. Dawson, D. Buckle. C. Dorson, D. Absalom and A. Giles.
Nearest the pins: 4th R. Barlow, 10th N. Mounsen and closest second on the 14th was N. Mounsey.

This Friday (September 26) will be round three of the Barrett Shield and on Saturday (grand final day) will be an 18 hole, part three stableford – 9.30am for a 10am shotgun start.
On Wednesday, September 3 ladies enjoyed a monthly medal, stroke and putting.
The winner was Chloe Healey 98-22-76 – she also won the putting with 34 putts.
Runner-up was Pat Tickner on 78 while Sandra Mason was nearest the pin on both the fourth and 10th holes.
Sherine Healey won the Camperdown Pre-Mix voucher for nearest on the seventh hole.
Balls down the line was won by Carmel Darcy.
On Wednesday, September 10 players competed in a Canadian Foursomes competition.
The winners were Sherine Healey and Alex Holster on 75.5, followed by Sandra Mason and Di Adams 80.125.
Sandra and Di also combined to be nearest the pin on the 4th while on the 10th, Alex Holster and Sherine Healey were closest.
The voucher for the nearest on the seventh went to Pat Tickner and Ellen Darcy while nearest the pin with the second shot was won by Alex Holster and Sherine Healey.

Wednesday, September 17 saw conditions slightly drier underfoot although rain at the start of play was replaced by sunshine and wind later on.
The winner of the stableford event on the day was Judy Myers, 30 points on countback from Alex Holster, also on 30.
Nearest the pin on the fourth was Jeannine White and on the 10th Ellen Darcy was closest.
The voucher for nearest on the seventh went to Sherine Healey (who also took nearest the pin with the second shot).
Balls down the line went to Chloe Healey with 29.
