Governor pays a visit

THE Mortlake Lions were treated to a visit from District Governor Susan Eyton at the club’s recent dinner meeting.

The club welcomed Mrs Eyton and her partner, Robert.

“She gave a great talk thanking us for the work we do in the community, scholarships for the schools, eyesight testing at the schools, hosting the Christmas Carols, meals on wheels, support at the Need for Feed function and our efforts at recycling,” club secretary Leigh Buesnel said.

“Additionally, a growth in numbers was acknowledged.

“The meeting was attended by 20 Mortlake Lions Club members and their spouses and companions.”
