FORMER Camperdown local and Australia’s top-ranking cyclist, Grace Brown, has claimed her first Tour Down Under.

Thirty year-old Brown unleashed her stunning power on the final day of the tour (yesterday) when she attacked the savage corkscrew climb – with some sections reaching a grueling 24 degree incline.

Brown sprinted to the line, passing Amanda Spratt to secure the Ochre Jersey by 10 seconds.

This is her first world tour title after falling just one second short of a win in the Women’s Tour in Britain early last year.

Brown has become one of the world’s best since switching from athletics seven years ago
