Grand final tomorrow
SOUTH West Cricket will wind up its 2024/25 summer season with grand final matches to be played tomorrow (Saturday).

Division one will see Pomborneit take on Cobden at the Camperdown Lakes while in division two, the Knights will face Storm at Cobden Recreation Reserve.
Last weekend’s semi-final matches were anticipated to be closely contested ones, with all four teams eager to earn a spot on the big stage.
In division one, the Knights won the toss and sent Bookaar into bat, confident of a successful run chase.
The Pelicans reached 10/135 after 4 overs, with middle order batsman Wilba Cheeseman top scoring for the side with a handy 26 from 47 deliveries (including four boundaries).
In reply, the Knights reached 4/136 in the 34th over thanks to an unbeaten 49 from captain Johno Benallack who was well supported by Parker Walsh, unbeaten on 43.
In the second semi-final, Pomborneit 10/194 was too strong for Storm 10/121 at Cobden.
Pomborneit won the toss and elected to bat, with Lahiru Fernando leading the way on the scoreboard, smashing his way to an impressive 86 from 89 balls (including four boundaries and five sixes).
Storm’s opening batsman, Hamish Huffadine, top scored for the team with a handy 36 runs.
Storm’s two division three sides – Blue and Purple – will face off at the Timboon Recreation Reserve for premiership bragging rights, with the game set to start at 11.30am.
