Last Wednesday saw the playing of the division three grand final between Mepunga 3 and Camperdown 3.

The match began with a no-score.

Mepunga 3 started off well with seven shots in quick succession but Camperdown 3 kept working hard and by end 13, the score was nine all.

Both sides dug deep before Mepunga 3 defeated Camperdown 3, 14-11.

Congratulations to the 2024 division three premiers, Mepunga 2 and well done to runners-up Camperdown 3.

In division one it was a battle of the Timboon Lawns’ with 2 v 1.

Timboon Lawn 2 got off to a good start, while Timboon Lawn 1 struggled to get going but still fought on.

There were two occasions that Timboon Lawn 1 got within four shots but couldn't get any closer.

Timboon Lawn 2 defeated Timboon Lawn 1, 25-16.

Congratulations to the 2024 division one premiers, Timboon Lawn 2 and well done to runners-up Timboon Lawn 1.

Wrapping up the grand final action was Mepunga 2 versus Cobden 1.

Cobden 1 got off to a good start with five shots in the first two ends of the match but by end six, both teams were level with as many shots.

For the following seven ends, it was to and fro, with Mepunga 2 slightly increasing its lead to be two shots up with four ends to play.

A three-end single shot frenzy gave Mepunga 2 a five shot lead into the last end.

When all hope seemed lost, Cobden 1 kept plugging away and picked up a fiver on the last end, narrowly missing a sixth shot to end the match.

A 19th end was played after a coin toss and after a very close measure, Mepunga 2 lost to Cobden 1, 18-19.

Congratulations to the 2024 division two premiers, Cobden 1 and well fought to runners-up Mepunga 2.
