GHOULS and ghosts rose from lockdowns to bring tricks and treats to Terang and Mortlake as part of local Halloween festivities on Sunday.

A number of households across the Terang and Mortlake areas participated with decorations on display and plenty of sweets on offer for trick-or-treating children.

Mortlake Halloween Trail organiser Kelly Burgess said this year’s event was the largest the town had seen, with 19 houses participating to form an easy-to-follow trail for trick-or-treaters.

“It was great to have our biggest year so far,” she said.

“People went above and beyond for it.

“The kids had a great time, and it was definitely a welcome break from the previous COVID-19 restrictions.

“I want to say a massive thank you to the people of Mortlake for their participation.”
