Hammond wins at Timboon

BRENDAN Hammond has taken out the stableford event at Timboon Golf Club.

Hammond finished on 37 points to win last Saturday’s A grade competition ahead of runner-up Wes Hollick on 36 and Rodney Edge on 33.

B grade was won by Bryan Ward on a countback from Bill Finlayson, with both on 31 points.

Mick Smith was third on 28 points

Nearest the pins: 5th Ben Saunders, 7th Brendan Hammond, 10th Darren Smith and 14th Rodney Edge.

Darren Smith also won a ball for his second shot to the 11th and Katrina Hammond won a ball for her second shot to the 11th.

Thursday’s 12-hole chicken day was won by Wes Hollick with 26 points, from Bryan Ward on 25.

Nearest the pin was Jack Rowe.

Next Saturday will be stableford.
