PREPARATIONS for the 2024 football season are off to an early but exciting start for the Timboon Demons.
While several club members were enjoying a close game of cricket last Friday evening, friends, parents and Demons’ stalwarts were excited to take delivery of a ‘surprise package’ from the Melbourne Football Club.
A gift of junior footballs and training bibs, valued at around $450, was made to the Timboon Demons by the Melbourne-based club as part of its ‘Goals for Good’ initiative.
The initiative was part of a partnership between the Melbourne Football Club, Zurich Insurance and the ‘Tackle your Feelings’ mental health program.
The Timboon Demons were nominated by a local supporter for the award, highlighting the important role the club plays within the community.
The club was thrilled with the recognition and excited to receive the new equipment.
