Heavy loss for Lismore
REIGNING premiers Haddon scored a thumping nine wicket win over Lismore in the round 13 Grenville Cricket Association match at the Lismore Recreation Reserve.
Playing their first match in 2026 after the previous week was abandoned, Lismore captain Clint Dudman won the toss and elected to bat first.
The home team lost constant wickets and could only manage to bat for 18.5 overs, being bowled out for just 61.
Dudman with 13 and Angus Stewart with 10 were the only players to make double figures.
Haddon made light work of the run chase, needing just 10.1 overs to pass the score for the loss of one wicket.
Lachlan Coutts took the only wicket to fall, taking 1/15 from two overs.
Lismore now sit two wins outside the top four and play their next match on January 31 against Carranballac.
In the under 16 game on Saturday, Lismore had a 16 run loss to Linton at Linton.
The home team batted first, making 3/94 from their 25 overs.
Tyler Daffy was the pick of the Lismore bowlers with 1/21 from five overs with the new ball.
In reply, Lismore were bowled out for 78 in 23.2 overs.
Luke Bond top scored with 19 from 21 balls, with opener Bailey Childs retiring on 15 from 26 balls.
The next game for the under 16s is on January 31, with Lismore's under 12s resuming on February 6.
