Help the guides and decorate your table
THE Camperdown Girl Guides are inviting residents to come along for a night of festive fun and craft next Thursday.
A floral table arrangement workshop will be running on Thursday, November 28 at the Guide Hall, with places still available.
Organiser Felicity Paton said there have been 10 bookings for the workshop so far and is hopeful more people will sign up.
Bookings are $95 per person, and residents can put up a 50 per cent deposit to secure their booking for the night.
She said the workshop aimed to help raise funds for the upkeep of the Guide Hall, including repairs, and was also about residents learning something new.
“It’s about learning a new craft, enjoyment, having fun with their friends and helping support the girl guides,” Mrs Paton said.
“Hopefully people can come along and help support the girl guides - sign up and have a night out making something pretty.”
The floral arrangements can be put on the table for Christmas lunch or dinner or put up on a mantlepiece for a festive floral display.
The workshop begins at 7.30pm at 251 Manifold Street, Camperdown, with attendees to receive a drink on arrival.
The night will also include lucky door prizes and floral snips to take home.
