Timboon Agriculture Project (TAP) co-ordinator Andrea Vallance said earlier in the year Corangamite Shire Council’s Aaron Moyne paid a visit to speak with the Year 8 geography class.

“The shire also recently held a community launch event, where they gathered ideas for the improvements to the public land and movement network around the Timboon town centre,” she said.

“Council realised that there was a gap in hearing from children and teen voices so they approached Timboon P-12 School to survey our year 3/4, 5/6 and senior classes.

“Prior to the holidays, the primary classes worked on an engagement activity worksheet to provide input and suggested a range of projects ranging from an improved playground, animal shelter, skate park, dog park, more seating at the footy to more rubbish bins in the town centre.”
