ROUND five of pennant action at Heytesbury was a busy one.
In division one Scotts Creek played host to Timboon Lawn 1 and after six ends the scores were tied at five-all.
Despite the scores going to and fro, the game ended in a 17-all draw.
Timboon Lawn 2 hosted Glenormiston 1 in what was a one-sided affair.
The hosts picked up 10 unanswered shots in the first four ends.
Timboon Lawn 1 defeated Glenormiston 1, 19-11.
The third division one match was Camperdown 1 hosting Cobden 1 and the first half of the match was pretty close, with the home side picking up nine shots to the visitors’ five.
Camperdown 1 defeated Cobden 1, 20-10.
Rounding out division one, Camperdown 2 hosted Laang-Ecklin and the home side picked up 10 shots to the visitors five shots in the first half of the match.
Oddly enough, both sides picked up eight shots each to close out the match, with Camperdown 2 defeating Laang-Ecklin 18-13.
Division one top four this week are Scotts Creek 1, Timboon Lawn 1, Laang-Ecklin, Camperdown 2.
This week’s division two bye was Simpson 1.
Mepunga 1 hosted Glenormiston 2 and the visitors jumped out of the gate, scoring 10 shots to the home team’s single in the first six ends of the match.
The scores then sea-sawed, with the final results Mepunga 1 lost to Glenormiston 2, 18-20.
Timboon Lawn 4 played host to Mepunga 2 and this match was relatively one-sided with Mepunga 2 establishing early control, picking up 17 shots to Timboon Lawn 4’s seven shots in the first 11 ends of the match.
Timboon Lawn 4 lost to Mepunga 2, 14-23.
Closing out division two, Simpson 2 hosted Timboon Lawn 3 and the match was close in the first eight ends, with the visitors scoring six shots to the home sides’ nine.
And that’s where the night ended for the visitors, with Simpson 2 defeating Timboon Lawn 3, 29-6.
Division two top four this week are Mepunga 2, Simpson 1, Mepunga 2, Glenormiston 2.
In division three, Glenormiston 3 hosted Scotts Creek 3.
The first 11 ends of the match were level at 10-all.
Despite both sides picking up six shots each, the visitors picked up a quad on end 14 and that was the difference in the end.
Glenormiston 3 lost to Scotts Creek 3, 16-20.
The next match was Cobden 2 hosting Timboon Lawn 5 and the first seven ends of the match were pretty tight with the home side picking up seven shots to the visitors’ six shots.
The home side kicked up a gear and Cobden 2 defeated Timboon Lawn 5, 29-9.
Peterborough hosted Scotts Creek 2 and this match started out pretty close with the home side picking up five shots to the visitors’ four shots in the first seven ends of the match.
Peterborough then started to get ahead, picking up nine shots to Scotts Creek 2 six shots over the subsequent eight ends.
On the penultimate end, the visitors picked up a single to lock the match up at 15-all with a one end shootout.
Peterborough defeated Scotts Creek 2, 16-15 in an absolute nail-biter.
Division three top four this week are Cobden 2, Scotts Creek 3, Peterborough, Glenormiston 3.

Cards are being read out at 8.45am and roll-up before the 9am start on both days.
