In VIBBA news, there were three players from Heytesbury that went down to Sunshine for the singles – Lara Mungean, Brett Mungean and Arthur Finch.
Brett played Ben Jackson (South Group) in the first round but that’s where Brett’s journey ended.
Arthur played A. Scheurer and progressed to round two while Lara had a first round bye to play Sue Kerr (Warrnambool) in the second round.
Unfortunately for Lara, it was a heartbreaking defeat 12-13 which ended her journey.
In the second round, Arthur had a walkover into round three where he faced Adrian Ballinger (Northern Suburbs).
Unfortunately for Arthur, his journey ended with an 11-12 loss.
