High rainfalls welcomed

CAMPERDOWN, Lismore and Derrinallum all saw an improvement in rainfall over October, recording higher-than-average falls.


Camperdown saw 76.5mm of rainfall recorded over the month, which is above the long-term monthly average of 69mm.

The figure is also an increase on last October’s rainfall total of 62mm.

The highest daily rainfall was recorded on October 27, with 15mm hitting the ground in 24 hours.

Camperdown’s rainfall tally for 2025 currently sits at 475.5mm.

Meanwhile, Lismore recorded 74.4mm of rainfall over October.

The figure surpasses the previous October’s total of 62.8mm as well as the long-term monthly average of 63.6mm.

October 27 saw Lismore’s highest daily rainfall, with 16.8mm hitting the ground.

To date, Lismore’s rainfall tally for 2025 is 416.8mm.

Derrinallum also saw an increase on the October average, with 78.4mm recorded over the course of the month.

While this is higher than the average of 66.5mm for October, the figure is down on last year’s total of 100.8mm.

Like Camperdown and Lismore, Derrinallum saw its highest daily rainfall recorded on October 27, with 16.4mm filling gauges.

Derrinallum’s 2025 rainfall tally currently sits at 406.6mm.
