Hockey fun for all ages
SKILLS and games were the focus of ‘Hooked into Hockey’ last Saturday
Many thanks to the mod comp players who volunteered to help out after their games.
The Saturday morning modified competition was back in full swing, with all teams playing well.
Thanks to those who stepped in to even out the numbers.
Blue defeated Yellow 5-1.
Umpire points went to Anastasia and Lillian (blue) and Bentley and Holly (yellow).
Goals were scored by Mateo, Will (2) and Lillian (2) for blue, while for the yellow team Bentley scored one.
Purple defeated Green 4-2.
Umpire points went to Jacob and Lawson (purple) and Oliver and Kaitlyn (green).
For purple, goals were scored by Amelia, Jacob (2) and Lawson, while for the green team Bentley scored two.
The women competed in a scratch match with submarines.
Thanks to all who filled in to make 10 a side so players could enjoy the full field. The score was 1-0.
The under 14s played cohesively as a team, resulting in a closely contested 4-all match.
Taleah's performance earned her the GOAT award for the week.
Keep an eye on the under 16s because they are improving with every game.
It was another well fought game with a lot of great passing and communicating throughout the game.
Unfortunately, the great play didn't convert into goals, with Technique winning 2-0.
The "you rock" award went to Lachie Baulch who was resilient in defence.
