Hockey stars shine at championships

TWELVE athletes from the Corangamite Hockey Club have performed well at the recent Junior Country Championships.

The championships were held at various venues across Essendon, Greensborough and Parkville over the weekend of May 17 and 18.

The annual tournament, a highlight of the junior hockey calendar, brought together rising stars from across regional Victoria to compete in a high-level environment.

Corangamite’s representatives showcased skill, teamwork and sportsmanship across all venues.

Congratulations to the following players who wore Hockey South West and Ballarat colours:

Noah Boyd, Taliyah Bishop, Akeisha Bishop (goal keeper), Harmoney Bishop (goal keeper), Ava Cunningham, Maisie Cunningham, Jonah Elliott-Wain, Lawson Clark, Quinn Clark (goal keeper), Oliver Clark, Taleah McGuinness and Charlotte Bennett.
