Horan wins Veteran's golf

COBDEN’S Carl Horan has taken out A grade at this week’s Corangamite Veteran Golf Association’s competition.

Horan finished on 41 points to win the event from Mortlake’s Rob Field on 38, with Kevin Etherton (Mortlake) third on 37.

In B grade, Peter Hrabar finished on 38 points to win on countback from fellow club member Paddy O’Connor, with East Framlingham’s Terry Coolahan third on 37.

C grade was won by Peter Collihale (Birregurra) on 45 points, followed by Terang’s C. Salibsbury on 43, with Cliff Cobbledick third on 39.

Nearest the pin: 4th Kevin Plozza, 7th Cliff Cobbledick,10th Gary Lafferty.

NAGA – A grade Bob Bates on 22 points, B grade Daryl Beams on 19 and C grade Neville Couch on 24.

Fifty-three players enjoyed the competition, held at Cobden last Tuesday.
