THE off-court accolades continue for Camperdown’s Josh Hose, with the motivational speaker recently named a ‘Hand in Hand’ ambassador.
Josh made his Paralympic debut at the London 2012 Games and was instrumental in the Steelers’ gold medal victory over Canada – earning Australia’s first ever wheelchair rugby gold medal.
Josh’s accolades on the court are well known across the western district and beyond, as are many of his off-court achievements.
When not in training or competing, Josh is an accomplished motivational speaker, delivering messages to businesses, schools and community groups across the state.
His talks focus on road safety, setting goals and overcoming barriers to success.
Recently recognised at the Victorian Sporting Hall of Fame, this year marks 18 years walking and 18 years in a wheelchair for Josh.
‘Hand in Hand,’ based in Ballarat, aims to tackle the issue of youth mental health.
A spokesperson for Hand in Hand said the group was “very honoured” to have Josh on their team.
