Hubbard wins at Mortlake

STEVE Hubbard had a strong round on the Mortlake golf course last Friday to win the nine-hole twilight competition.

Hubbard finished with 10-46-36 to win on countback from Dave McNicoll 8-44-36 with Richard van Diemen third on 8-44-36.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was Peter Palmer.

Last Saturday’s stroke monthly medal was won by Kevin Etherton 12-82-70.

Runner-up was Angelo van den Heuvel 16-88-72.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Dougal Ranken and 9/18 Hamish Weatherly.

Balls down the line: Dougal Ranken, Hamish Weatherly and Grant Gibson.

John Watson from Bannockburn was the visitor.

Next week’s event will be Irish four ball.
