Indoor bias bowls action

ONCE again there was plenty of bowls action at the Heytesbury Indoor Bias Bowls Association this past week.

Round 10 of pennant action in division one saw Glenormiston 1 defeat Laang-Ecklin, Scotts Creek 1 went down to Mepunga 1, Camperdown defeated Timboon Lawn 2 and Camperdown 2 narrowly went down to Timboon Lawn 1.

The top four this week in division one are Timboon Lawn 1, Mepunga 1, Timboon Lawn 2 and Glenormiston 1.

There are now four points separating fourth to last and percentage separating sixth to eighth.

Division two saw Timboon Lawn 3 take care of Glenormiston 2, Cobden 1 defeated Cobden 2, Glenormiston 3 narrowly went down to Mepunga 2 and Timboon Lawn 4 was narrowly defeated by Simpson 1.

The top four in division two are Mepunga 2, Cobden 1, Timboon Lawn 4 and Glenormiston 2.

Fifth through seventh are a win out of the four and only separated by percentage.

In division 3, Glenormiston 4 had the bye this week while Mepunga 3 narrowly defeated Cobden 3, Peterborough was defeated by Camperdown 3 and Scotts Creek 2 went down to Scotts Creek 3.

The top four in division three were: Mepunga 3, Scotts Creek 3, Camperdown 3 and Glenormiston 4.

Two points separate fourth to seventh.

A few reminders regarding pennant – score cards need to be sent in immediately after the match or no later than the Thursday after.

Please help your pennant secretary by sending clear, legible pictures of completed, matching, full player names and signed pennant scorecards to pennant secretary Kathryn on 0409 013 720.

VIBBA has recently announced the following date changes:

The VIBBA Champion of Champions Day is now on Sunday, July 28.

The Victorian State Team Open Fours practice day is now on Sunday, August 11.

As a consequence, the HIBBA Champion of Champions at Simpson Hall is now on Friday, July 12.

Entries are now being called for the South West Challenge against Warrnambool and its open entry.

Please send your entries to your club secretary no later than next Monday, July 8.
