Interesting twist for golfers
WEDNESDAY’S stableford competition at the Camperdown Golf Club had an interesting twist.
Secret partners were drawn after play.
The winning combination was Terri Sinnott (23) 41 points with Chris Farmer (30) 38 points which gave them an aggregate of 79.
The runners-up were Gabby Gill (21) 41 points and Maree Finlay (30) 32 points with a total of 70.
Nearest the pins: 2nd Doreen Horan, 9th (second shot) Liz Fry and 16th (second shot) Jenny Hillman.
Next week will be a stroke competition for the June monthly medal.
Camperdown’s women’s division two pennant team had another win last Monday defeating Peterborough 4-1 at Warrnambool.
Donna Conheady won 8-6, Gabby Gill lost on the 19th hole, Deb Narik won 2-1, Jenny Hillman won 5-4 and Doreen Horan won on the 19th.
Next Monday Camperdown will play Portland – the only other undefeated division two team (at Portland); 9.30am for a 10am start.
