A STRUCTURE fire in Pomborneit is under investigation but is not being treated as suspicious.

A Country Fire Authority (CFA) spokesperson said 12 CFA units attended the callout on Wednesday, July 22.

“CFA responded to a structure fire about 5.24pm Wednesday on the Princes Highway in Pomborneit,” the spokesperson said.

“Crews arrived to find a shed fully involved in fire.

“The incident was declared under control at 6.47pm and safe at 8.06pm.

“A fire investigator will attend the scene today to determine the cause however, it is not being treated as suspicious.”
