Invitation for public speaking

CAMPERDOWN Lions will be holding their annual Youth of the Year contest on Tuesday, February 24.

The annual competition will see three students from Mercy Regional College and two students from Camperdown College participating this year.

Each student will conduct interviews with a three-person judging panel during the day, with the public speaking section of the day set for the evening.

Coordinator Leanne Delahunty said each student will present a five-minute prepared speech as well as answering two impromptu questions.

“The public speaking session is open to anyone to attend and will commence at 7pm sharp in the RSL Hall, Pike Street,” she said.

“This is a great opportunity to support young leaders in our community.”
