Irish four ball

AN Irish Four Ball event was played at the Mortlake golf course last Saturday.

Winners of the day were Peter Palmer (11), Kevin Etherton (11), Ben Boers (10) and Tony McLennan (34) with a score of 125 points.

The runners-up were Merv Hampson (29), Bruce Twaddle (26), Glen Byers (21) and Dougal Ranken (15) on 108 points.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Les Dawson, 6/15 Richard van Diemen, 9/18 Peter Palmer.

Balls down the line: Wes Wareham, Scott Richie, Gary Glossop and Kurt Robertson (106 points).

Last Friday’s nine hole twilight event was won by Peter West 20-52-32 on countback from Tony McLennan 17-49-32.

Third place went to Kevin Etherton 5-40-35.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was Tony McLennan.

Next week’s event will be stableford.
